"Thanks for Giving Day"

November 24, 2009

For those who forget or don't think where that big bird comes from and how it ends up on the Thanksgiving Day dinner table. If you're eating a wild turkey (as in pic attach) then enjoy the bounty of the harvest.

If we waited for the average man of the house to kill and dress (i.e., non-hunter) the T-Day turkey then everyone might be eating tofu-turkey. :)

Have a great day with family and friends but let's not lose sight of why we all celebrate this day and how we all got to this point - especially our main dinner guests, Mr./Ms. Thomas and Henrietta Turkey.

I'm thankful and grateful to those who influenced my special interests in hunting, fishing, the outdoors and a clean, healthy environment where we all can enjoy our catch, kill and all renewable resources - safely. And experiencing a lifetime of unforgettable memories while hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Perhaps part of the dinner (after grace) should include going around the table and having everyone state why they're grateful and thankful.

Have a great and full day with family and friends!

Peace,

, , Frank
